SVERIGES KONST-OCH ANTIKHANDLARFÖRENING

The majority of Sweden’s most qualified art and antique dealers are members of The Swedish Art & Antique Dealers Association. Most of them, about thirty, are located in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, and the rest are spread all over the country.

The members represent a wide range of specialities. From fine art to applied art, fine furniture to folk art, items from the 17th century to the 20th century. The specialities range from Old Masters, to 18th century Gustavian furniture, to 20th century Swedish glass.

The best-known periods from our rich cultural heritage are the 18th century and the first half of the 20th century.

Our association, SKAF, arranges one fair where only members can exhibit, "Grand Antiques". This is held every second year in Stockholm, usually in November. The next fair is in 2004. We are also co-arrangers for the two other major annual fairs in Sweden, "Stockholm Art and Antique Fair", held in Stockholm during the winter, and the "Helsingborg Fair", held in the town of Helsingborg in the south of Sweden in late July.
