The Danish Art and Antique Dealers Association (DADA) was founded in 1941 by a group of the period’s finest dealers. DADA’s mission is to expand and enhance the quality of Danish trade in art and antiques. The Association’s 36 members include Denmark’s leading experts in the field of art and antiques. DADA places a high priority on professional expertise so that customers can be assured of reliable advice on the value and condition of art objects.

To maintain a high standard and integrity, DADA has established a board that hears complaints and compliments from private customers, insurance companies and museums as well as from its own members and other dealers. In February of each year, under the sponsorship of His Royal Highness Prince Henrik, DADA hosts its vetted exhibition on the floor of Børsen, the old Danish Stock Exchange. In addition, each autumn DADA members participate in the “Antikviteter i Forum" with a special vetted DADA section. Both exhibitions take place in Copenhagen. Considering the country’s relatively small population of 5.3 million, Denmark has many antique dealers both in DADA and in other groups. It is the purpose of DADA to ensure that the interaction between members and private clients, colleagues and institutions is performed professionally and flawlessly.
